The Hardened Stainless Steel handle set is given a two-step process. First finished with a deeply textured dark charcoal colored media. Then it is micro shot peened to improve scratch resistance creating a stronger surface while retaining the darkened tone. The second to last step is laser marking and engraving, brand, model, serial number, and then a deep laser engraved grip pattern are applied to the handles and blade. The surface is further treated to passivation to ensure the handles have a superior corrosion resistance.
