Tungsten Carbide (WC) ranks about a 9 on the Mohs scale, just below Diamond (10). Its hardness and strength make it capable of holding an edge much longer than any steel. Its density of 15.6 g/cm^3 is almost twice that of steel.
Lightweight Aluminum with steel like strength, the 7075-T6 Tempered Aluminum is one of the strongest Aluminum alloys available with a tensile strength of about 80,000 psi. The Hard-coat Anodize provides a resilient protective surface.
