This UPK-D4 Eclipse M-LOK Direct has a Blade made of 440A Hardened Stainless Steel and a Direct to M-LOK Mount Base made of Type III Hardcoat 7075-T6 Aluminum

440A Hardened Stainless Steel HRC 45 - chosen off provide Bend before break toughness, this alloy and temper combination provide a robust strength and reliability that allow the blade to even be bend back to straight if without significant damage to its integrity.

7075-T6 Tempered Aluminum is a lightweight aluminum with steel like strength, one of the strongest Aluminum alloys available with a tensile strength of 80ksi.  The Hardcoat Type III Anodize provides a resilient protective surface. for reference typical steel screws at a hardware store are typically rated 60ksi

Great Product Quality! Amazing Customer Service!!

I searched for an AR M-LOK bayonet for a long time and kept returning to UPKnife. Ultimately, I decided on the UPK-D4 Eclipse M-LOK Direct Hybrid SS-AL. It is lightweight, very strong, and does not require me to carry the bayonet separately. The UPKnife owner, John, and I chatted via his webpage chat feature over a couple of days. He was very patient with me, and his knowledge and willingness to answer all of my questions sealed the deal. The bayonet already has an amazing stab/thrust capability, so I paid a little more for John to sharpen the lower edge so the bayonet also had a slicing capacity. I highly recommend doing business with UPKnife!
